We are always accepting help from individuals seeking to better their community. And with our diverse set of experiences and skills, from hands-on work with children to professional office roles, volunteers will find a good fit where they’ll be part of the team.
Join us to get Northside kids to school ready to read and learn.
We have events and opportunities for volunteers to support our community throughout the year. To learn more about the best way to plug in, please email Kimberly Glessman at email@example.com with the subject line “I want to support.”
Additionally, we are always looking for Board Members and Junior Board Members who are passionate about our mission and have the time to commit to making a difference in our community. Those interested should email Veronica Fleming at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “I want to make a difference.”
Good work requires resources
A child from a middle-income home has an average of 13 books. In high-need homes, there is 1 book for every 300 children. Imagine learning to read, while sharing your first book with 299 other kids. We need children’s books — gently used or new.
With kids’ brains growing 86% between birth and their first day of kindergarten, it’s clear that a child’s academic career starts in the home. We need educational toys and games.
Learning, together. In the Northside.
We offer neighborhood tours where we learn about Northside, the community we serve.
To join our next neighborhood tour or to get involved in other ways, please email Veronica Fleming at email@example.com with the subject line “I want to learn” or call directly at 804-353-4264 ext.101.
