We know it’s hard to find time with your children away from work, distractions, and all the other things going on. That’s why our Parent and Child Together (PACT) Time focuses on providing shared moments to reclaim or reinforce that special bond between parent and child. Doing this requires the ultimate sacrifice: hours, minutes, and seconds — together.
Who ever said the classroom was only for kids?
Typically held for two hours per week, PACT Time can be held in the classroom or in a community center. In the classroom, parents get the chance to observe their child in a place of learning, while also being provided with information from teachers to understand their child’s progress. In center-based PACT Time, parents engage with their children through structured family events 2 hours every week.
PACT Time achieves several specific outcomes:
Early Reading – getting kids reading early helps ensure a future of education and opportunity
Parents as Teachers – involving parents in a learning environment shows parents that they have a vital role in the child’s early learning
Productive Moments – sharing time with children in fun but structured environments deepens and develops the parent/child connection
Our PACT Time program might be a good fit for you if:
You want to encourage your child’s reading
You want to become a part of your child’s school experience
You want to find or spend productive time with your child
